Only a few weeks after Chrihanna gate the internet faithful have been made privy to more senseless acts of domestic violence between young Black entertainers. This time all of the action has been caught on video.
While Charles Hamilton and the young woman in question are nowhere near as popular as Chris Brown or Rihanna their recent run in has been making the rounds on many popular blog sites. What I find strange is that the blogosphere is not up in arms about the young woman punching Charles in the face. Granted, he was being a bit of a prick toward her and her outrage is justified. What is not justified, is her reaction to his behavior. Had Charles responded in kind by returning blows I’m sure MTV News, CNN, What About our Daughters, and Miss Info would have been all over the story the same day that the video leaked. Since Charles did not return blows the story is of no interest to those in the know. The fact that there has been NO response or outrage makes me wonder a number of things:
a) Did people care about the Chrihanna Gate because they were both mega stars or because of the severity of the beating that took place ?
b) Do people actually have a problem with domestic violence or do many people deem it acceptable in certain situations.
c) Why hasn’t the conversation about domestic violence taken center stage yet ?
d) Is it even considered domestic violence if the violence is from a woman against a man ? If so, why no outrage? If not, isn’t that somewhat hypocritical ?
So…what say you ?

Any kinds or act of violence should not be tolerated. Woman should not abuse their rights and Man should always respect the woman and never try or attempt to use any act of violence to deal with some problem with them. Somewhat men and women should learn how to control their temper to avoid such public scandal that might reflect to our children.
